Looking for extra money...consider being an Umpire

An umpire in field hockey is a person with the authority to make decisions on a hockey pitch in accordance with the rules of the game. Umpires are an essential part of the game. Their first priority is to make sure that the game is being played safely. Their second priority is to make sure that everyone is having fun.  You do not need any prior experience and training will be provided.

KW field hockey is a safe non-competitive environment for umpires to learn. The season is short, the pay is great and everyone is welcome. If you’re interested in becoming part of “Team Umpire” please contact Jody MacDonald at macdonaldjl@yahoo.ca.

Festival Day June 22

The annual KWOH Festival Field Hockey Day will be held during our last Saturday of the season, June 22nd at Woodside Park.  Each team will play a number of games that day and of course there will be complementary freezies.

KWOH Field Hockey

KWOH is a co-ed field hockey club consisting of both house league and competitive teams. Our house league program is for boys and girls U9 and U11 and female only U13, U15 and  U18.  Our 2019 house league  program will run from the last week of April to June 22.

In the Fall, we offer a weekly Skills program for 12-18 year old girls.

In November we move inside to the gym and play Indoor Field Hockey. This is a much faster game and allows girls to continue enjoying the sport they love all year long. The Indoor season consists of a league that plays November – March at RIM Park.
